hi all,

i recently brought a leaking tetratec ex 600 through a friend of a friend which i have now fixed and just trying to work out the media layout and what im missing.

i have 3 trays,1 black lid/top,half a trays worth of white ceramic tubes,a full trays worth of black plastic balls and 2 coarse black filters.

i can see that im missing a fine filter but if anyone can please tell me the correct layout for me so i can work out what im going to use the filter on as i might add it to my community tank as additional filter or use it as an excuse to set up another small tank!!

many thanks.

My Tetratec Layout is Bottom tray : Ceramic tubes, Middle Tray : Black balls, Top Tray : Carbon and Black Sponges

Has freddie said above, then the fine filter goes on top of the top tray with the black plastic lid on top :)

Go careful with the spindle in the motor housing on cleaning it,they have a habit of snapping if you're not careful...

thanks for your help and thanks for the advice about the spindle being weak. is it right to have half a tray full of white tubes or do i need more??
