I have a bloodfin tetra who's jaw just sort of fell off.
He lived in my 25 gallon tetra tank, which was home to 6 x-ray tetra and 6 bloodfin tetra (he is now in quarantine).Few days ago I noticed it looked as if someone had hit him in the face with a baseball bat, but when I checked today I could see right now into (presumably) his stomach, just a gaping hole where his jaw used to be (it got progressively worse). The jaw bones look like they are now pointed roughly backwards, and are just poking out. He seems to be doing fine, although weak (I don't think he's been eating).
Anyone have any idea whats happening? Looks like maybe another one of the bloodfin might be similarly affected.
