I am torn between these two filters and was looking to you knowledgeable members to let me know your experiences with either of these filters and any pros and cons you may have.

I have a 160Ltr but soon to be upgraded to a 300Ltr and would want a filter which can look after the 300Ltr with ease.

Many thanks,
Maz.

TetraTec all the way, Fluval is rubbish unltss its the EX5 or G series... both of which are expensive...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, comparing Fluval to Tetratec is like comparing a lethal disease to the common cold, I know which I'd rather have.

Also I'd be running two EX1200's on a tank of that volume.

While we await the "my fluval fine brigade" get a tetratec EX 1200 stay away from the EX 2400.

Im on my 4th EX1200 no problems at all

Cha ching, man the amount of times i post this pic a week it should be on tetra's website and i should get discount :p

Not with ornaments like that... :D

The 406 is pretty new, so not many people have had proper experience with it as of yet.

The fact that you can get a TT 1200 for about £85 if you shop around and the 406 is about £130ish makes a big difference imo. Standard media from TT is excellent Fluvals tends to be a little light shall we say...

I can't find these on any us web site. Are they all in the uk?

what kind of man is in charge of ornaments really! :p

isnt the tetratec set up exactly the same as the aps ef/ef+ range which you can get cheaper other than the attatchments being slightly different?
