Tetra Setup

I have 4 black neon tetras and 3 regular neon tetras should they all school together or should the two different kinds (black and regular) seperate into different schools.

What size tank do you have them in? I would recommend adding 3-4 or more of each if you can. As far as shoaling together that should become rather obvious since you have them together in the same tank.

it is 5 to 10 gallons not sure the black ones are together it is the regular ones that only 2 are together and the third which is smaller is off alone.

what are the dimensions of your tank length, width, and hight. Inches or centemeters is fine, then I can tell you how many gallons your tank is.

I measured it and did a conversion before i saw ur post it is a 10gallon tank

With a 10gl tank you could safely add 2 more black neons and 3 regular neons, after wards they should shoal a little more naturally.
