Anyone use this to control Nitrate levels in freshwater tank?

My tap water nitrate levels are a little high (16ppm) and Nitrate level in my tank is around 40ppm (it’s very hard to tell accurately using API master kit)

Noticed a product called Tetra Nitrateminus and it has good reviews on Amazon.

Water changes, clean filters and plants are the best way to control trAtes...I wouldn 't waste my $
Already doing that :) Weekly 50% water change and monthly filter maintenance (tear down, clean pipes, media etc). Also have various live plants in my tank.
Ideally I would like my Nitrate levels to be around 10ppm but I don’t think that is possible considering my tap water levels.
Tempted by the reviews but also very wary about adding chemicals to my tank.

Hello :)
How long do you let tapwater stand ?
The best (drop) tests are JBL's and 16 ppm-mg/l isn't serious. If your tapwater brings nitrates, make waterchanges with ROW until NO3 lows to +/- 8.
