Has anyone used or is using this product?

I have a 64 ltr tank and change 20 ltrs every week.

I have no live plants (because of snails)

I have 13 guppies and 6 assassins.

I feed them twice a day and a couple of mashed peas on a Sunday.

I've done a water tests and my nitrate level is settled at 40 ppm.

This product sounds a solution but I'd like members comments first.

Try cutting back on the feeding first - that is probably why your nitrate is so high. I'd cut it back by half for a week and then maybe half again the following week. Fish don't need feeding every day let alone twice a day unless they are breeding or they are young fry.
Also I have assassins and they don't eat plants so why not try a few to see how it goes? A few fast growing plants would mop up some nitrates too.

I agree with Ros.  But also, have you tested your tap water for nitrate?  If this is the source, then I would take action to reduce the nitrates and while I have not used the Tetra product mentioned, it may be one method.  If the tap water is zero, or very low nitrate, and the tank is the source of most of the nitrate, it should be possible to deal with nitrates by increasing your water changes and feeding less as Ros mentioned.

Byron.
