Hi,

I bought a Tetra C02 kit yesterday.................a pipe and an aerosol canister wher you top up the C02 each day .
Has anybody tried this and if so was it any good?

Also, should I only top it up when the tank lights are off?

Thanks

it can (and often does) run out in the day and usually needs refilling 2 times (the bell diffuser, not cannister!!)
That is the downside to it, especially if it runs out while you are at work then your plants will have no CO2. It is also more expensive than the nutrafin kit (fermentation system)

top it up just before lights on.

I have one of these kits....

I have found the same problem, the diffuser only lasts a short time, initially a fulldiffuser lasted an hour !! i thought the issue maybe the membrane fitted in the top of the diffuser, so i replaced it with a solid plastic one. posistioning the diffuser at an angle and higher in the water to allow some flow to pass over the bottom. A full diffuser now lasts half a day...

Its not a bad kit to get you started, but if i was going to recomend a starter kit go for the AquaGro one !!!
