Sony A200 dslr. Have 3 lenses that I'm still trying to figure out. You can see some are dark and some are blurry. Hopefully I'll get the hang of it soon!

I use my 58mm stock lens quite a lot. However I want a 100mm macro.

If you not using flash coz of the glass then you need a slow shutter rate of 40-50 but then if the fish moves it blurs!
So I get myself a flashgun on a cable which i place above the tank then I get a shutter rate of 200-300 which stop's any blur.

I'm no expert as just lurning too.

Adding a remote flash above the tank would allow you to use a flash without seeing the glass.

I haven't had much problem with flash on the glass, they show up dark when the fish are at the back of the tank. I turn up the iso but don't notice much difference

I have a telephoto zoom I have to stand across the freakin room to take a picture it's annoying, the default lens and another telephoto w/ macro.

I would love a true macro lens but an extra $300 is not something I have just laying around. This camera is actually my boyfriend's he got it used on ebay.
