Testing Brackish Water

Hi

I use the API Master Test Kit for my freshwater tanks.

Do I need a Marine kit for a Brackish and if so at what SG level should I change over?

Your freshwater kits will be fine for things like nitrite and nitrate. Your pH test kit should be fine too. Problems occur with freshwater pH and hardness test kits in saltwater tanks because the maximum values (and/or resolution at the high end) aren't adequate for saltwater conditions. It isn't that they don't work, it's just they are not so useful.
