Okay I have a 45 tall with 1 8 inch plec, 1 dwarf ruby gourami, 2 mollies, 3 cherry rasboraS, and 3 oddball minnows, oh and 1 black skirt tetra. My test kit says I have between 0 and 20 nitrate no nitrite 7.2 ph and 80 alkalinity and like 400 hardness. Is that good? Everybody seems happy. Oh and temp is 76. Is my tank cycled? Am I at stocking limit? I know some of you are probably laughing right now but I love my fish and tank and just want them to be happy.

Schooling fish do best in large groups, so would be happier in such..

My tank is 36 and a half long 17inches tall and 14 and a half deep.

What's your ammonia reading? If that and nitrite are 0 ppm on a liquid test kit, then you're probably cycled.

You might want to check what species your pleco is :) and no, you're not fully stocked.. here is something you could do with your list (assuming you have a standard filter and some plants):
* 1 pleco
* 1 dwarf gourami
* 2 mollies
* 8 cherry rasbora
* 8 oddball minnows
* 8 black skirt tetra

The schooling fish really benefit from larger groups.
