How many tests can you usually get from different types of kits???

They vary, depending on the type of kit. You can get strips which are good for the number of strips in the container. They are convenient but more expensive over time. The liquid tests usually are cheaper over time but take a little longer to do they also tend to be more accurate. I think a lot of the liquid ones are good for 90 tests or so. They are more expensive initially but work out cheaper in the long run. HTH
