Test Kit?

hey guys.. is it worth buying a master test kit for freshwater if i have a pet store down the road that tests it for free? thanks! oh and how could i reduce nitrite and nitrate levels without doing a massive water change?

to tff,
its good that you can get your tests done free, i like having my master kit because i can get a reading when ever i like, its so handy to have when a tank is cycling, you should not have any ammonia or nitrite if your tank has cycled, the only way to get rid of nitrate is a water change depending on what your tap water is its best to try and keep the reading under 50.hth donna
