The temperature in my betta's 5 gallon tank stays pretty constant at 76F. The light bulb blew out Sunday morning and I bought a new one Sunday afternoon. The only problem was that I couldn't remember what wattage I had in the tank before and so I purchased a 25 watt light bulb. The temperature was stable Sunday night when I went to turn the light off; however, when I went to turn the light off an hour ago the temperature had spiked up to 84F. I won’t be able to get another light bulb until tomorrow afternoon. Will he be ok until then? I’m not going to turn the light back on as the regular temperature stays the same with or without the 15 watt light being on or off.
