Iv got my placed in the top left corner about 2" from the top is this too high with the lights been there

I dont think it makes much of a difference to be honest. Mines in about the same place.

If you want to check, note the average temperature of your tank when the lights are on, and then do the same when theyre off.

Youll be able to figure out if the lights are affecting it then.
