I have only male guppies at the moment.
Is it easy to breed guppies and look after babies ?
I really would like them to breed how many do they have at a time?
How many females would I need ?
Thanks in advance :)

hiya! Welcome to the forums!
It's pretty easy to breed guppies, usually they'll breed if conditions are right (pH, tempurature, etc)
you should have 2-3 females to every male I believe, I'm not to sure about how many babies they have, but when I had mine (a few years back) she had about 9 one time, but the next time she had almost 20, It depends on age and stuff like that, If you want to keep the babies, I suggest getting lots of plant cover for the fry to hide, you could get a breeder net/trap, but the female can get very stressed and it's not good for her, So the best thing is to have plant cover, Plants I have in my tank are hornwort, cambomba, etc, you can also get floating plants too, (as the fry tend to hide at the top)
Well, I hope I helped you out!
Cheers! :good:

As the Sims Dude said, hornwort is great livebearer cover. I usually lean toward java moss or najas grass because they are quite dense and I don't have them die off in my tanks the way hornwort seems to do. This is a picture of some java moss being used in my guppy tank for cover.

I also sometimes use things like anacharis but it is not as effective at saving fry. This is some anacharis.
