This is sort of technical. I wonder if anyone already has this kind of setup.

I will have a 100g tank soon. It has 4 holes drilled into the bottom that are supposed to be for connecting two canister filters. Two holes each for inflow and outflow.

1) Will any of the major canister filters work with this setup? (e.g. Filstar, Fluval)

2) If so, they all seem to come with tubes and pipes to be hung over the back of the tank. Do you end up just using the piping and plugging it into the bottom?

Thanks for your help in advance!

You will need to connect properly to the filter to use a drilled tank. Since very few of us have drilled tanks, the filters come with the hardware to use over the tank top. You will of course need an adapter to get a good fit between the drilled opening and your filter hose but the adapters should be easy to find for the common sizes. If you decide to use a single filter, you will need to plug some of the bulkheads with an appropriate cap.

I want to run two filters. I was told the bulkheads would have "barbed connectors" so I can connect the tubes. It sounds like it will work, just need to make sure these connections are right.

Barbed connectors are one of the most common ones on filters so a bulkhead connector with that configuration would not surprise me. Size will matter though since filter tubing comes in lots of different sizes.
