Have a lovely piece of bog wood soaking for my betta set up.
It is still leaking some tannins - will a betta be ok with that?

It has been soaking for about a week with a couple of water changes to the bucket.

Tannins are excellent for bettas.  They love them.  I personally love the way they stain my water and make it look like tea.  It brings out the natural colors of my wild bettas amazingly and makes them feel more secure.

Ditto the above, in fact get some Indian Almond Leaves too as these also help with "black" water for Bettas ;)

If you can't get easy access to indian almond leaves (IAL) get you a handful of clean dry hardwood leaves (like oak) as they work the same.
