I love the color in this tank and the fish look gorgeous in this water. I need to add more plants. Ten-gallon tank contains 9 neon tetras, 5 serpa tetras and one albino cory.

it looks very nice, i would add atleast another 2, maybe 3 albino cory's, they will be happier in a group

ignore me if im being stupid
but doesnt tannin leach from bogwood? is it harmful or do ppl not like it because of the colour it makes the water?

Yes, the tannin does come from the bogwood but it is not harmful to your fish. As you say, most people just don't want the colour!

Its actually beneficial and more natural for the fish, after all when did you see a crystal clear part of the amazon river? Looks quite nice too, until you want to go heavily planted and want to see the colours etc, then I'm afraid its away with the natural look.

I like it alot, do please get another 2 or 3 cories though, i had one albino--he died after a year...from depression, he craocked a year sooner than expected.. :(
