I have read information about freshwater clams. Many people keep them in they're tanks...they help and aid in keeping the tanks clean as a little addtion. Would any of you recommend one in a tank? For those that have one do they require certain tank mates? I know you can't have any crabs or lobsters with them because they will eat the meat. Other than that that's all I know. FYI: For those that go out and buy one make sure you tap on the shell first. If it does not close it's dead. So test it out before you go home with a dead clam.
