my tank currently has a home made wooden hood, but im debating wether or not to take it off
if i do take it off i will be putting on a glass sliding lid....
i have 2 clip on aquarium t5s that i can use if the tank has no hood, they do give a nice light...
hmmm, what would you do,
hood, or no hood

What tank size is it, I would go for the galss hood. Does the wooden hood have lighting, If not then I would deffinately go for the glass one.

Opps, I forgot, I am not supposed to be giving advice when I have no expirence.

its 30x15x12
and the wooden one does have lights inside....
its just awkward to get inside to do things with the wooden hood on.....

It would go on personal taste.

Without a hood on, make sure to leave a big enough gap so the fish don't jump out. Also, the water will evaporate very quickly so watch out for humidity in that room.

I had a 20 gallon with no hood on and found a few dried up fish on the floor even though the gap I left was about an inch and the fish were about an inch long!
