So, i had a couple of problems in the past few days... one of my gold twinbar platies died today ; ; he was okay last night, but i guess overnight and today my fish decided to rough him up good because this morning his tail fin was all shredded and he wasnt swimming at all ; ; I also saw the rainbow fish rather energetically nipping at his tail and chasing him ; ; and the rubber nose pleco i got from my brother also died yesterday... i hadnt had him for long, and my brother and i concluded it was probably due to water parameter changes. My water is apparently soft and very alkaline (like 7.7) and his water is hard and neutral... and i also use a very small amount of salt (i know its not recommended for catfish, but my lfs uses it and my catfish from the lfs have had 0 problems... but he doesnt use any salt)

anyway, onto the better news: my larger red wag platy is pregnant and seems to be getting along nicely, although my other gold twinbar wont leave her alone. One of my female mollies is also pregnant (i think) she has a dark spot where my red wag does, but she doesnt look any fatter than my other female molly - who has no dark spot. I'll just have to wait and see :p you can't really tell in any of the pics, although the red wag does look fat - i know she's got more time to wait though

a friend of mine has also offered me his 10 gallon tank, as he has an extra and is moving away for college this fall - he'll want it back next summer i think... and if he does, my brother has 2 tanks that will be able to house the fry quite nicely. (he got the tank from a friend sometime last year, but has never wanted more than one, and hasnt used it to keep fish)

anyway, onto the pics- theyre fairly poorly taken (sorry XD im no photographer) and i wasnt able to get a single good picture of the pictus, the pleco, or the rainbowfish, but you can still see a couple of them in the background.

see that blur there?! in the bottom right! thats the rainbowfish lol. The biggest one likes to display his dorsal and ventral fins - hes a very nice dark purple and sky blue color - another one is a cool green and yellow, and the third one must be a female because shes very dull, but still a little bit bluish at times

hes ALWAYS right behind her except for when i feed them, then he leaves her alone... i still don't know if i should get more though, im still waiting for some advice on this
