Tank Transfers

I am moving one of my fantail goldfish into another aquarium, and am unsure of the best and safest way to do it. Should i put him in a bag with his tank water and sit him in the new aquarium, or simply transfer directly using a net!?!?!

Any help would be gratefully received!!

Is the new tank filter cycled? if not, get it done or he will die in days, if you want to cycle it with him in the tank, you will need to do daily water changes.

generally speaking if the temperatures are the same you can net him and plop in into the new tank.

the tank is cycled, and the temperatures are pretty much the same. so would you just use a net then?
