Tank stocking

OK, so the taqnk size is pinned down, and the Water is moderateely soft/hard (sort of in the middle with GH 9 dGH, and you're right, this will remain basically the same unless you do things to target it). So look at fish preferring softer rather than harder water. Do not consider any livebearers, they need it harder. But most if not all of the commonly available fish from SA and SE Asia will be fine, including those already in the tank.

Before we can suggest additional fish though, we need to know what you intend doing with the danios.

I was thinking of keeping them in my quarantine tank to keep it cycling but it’s to small 20gallons

Agree. They can stay where they are, though their swimming will likely annoy the gourami and that means stress, and they will limit new fish options. But it is your call.

I’m going to keep It as is until I find a replacement tank probably going to look for a +300litre I like the idea of a big big tank but with a good stock of community fish, not to bothered about having huge fish I like having a variety without harming other fish obviously

just curious can you mix the different types of gourami as long as there female?

I would like pics of the dwarf gouramis.
If they are both males they will fight.

After trying to get pictures I realised I said they were dwarf gourami made a mistake I realise that now, I was Thinking of getting dwarf in there with the opaline gourami. From your advice I did some research I believe the first picture is male the second female but bigger chance I'm wrong than right

The gourami species is Trichopodus trichopterus. There are several varieties such as Cosby, Opaline, Blue, Gold, 3-spot, marble,...but all are the same species. And this is one of the rougher of the medium-sized gourami. Males can become very aggressive in protecting their territory.

Males have a more pointeed dorsal fin, and females are smaller (obviously only noticeable with identical-age or mature fish) and rounder.

You certainly should not mix any other gourami in with these. There is no way to tell what may quite suddenly change regarding their temperament. One of our members had a female that overnight began to kill every other fish in the tank.
