Hello,
I have just upgraded from a 28L tank to a (not sure how many litres but its 2ft long x 1ft wide x 1ft tall)

I have 3 platies, 9 guppies, a bristlenose plec and a apple snail, also have few babies but hoping to get rid of them soon!

My question is how many more fish can I add and what type would u recommend?

Thank you in advance for help

The fish you have already would stock a 125l decently, you have far too much for a 54l 60x30x30cm, before you have a population explosion... which will happen if you have babies already! Right now you have ~65cm of fish when they reach adult size (excluding babies), it is a very bad sign if the adult community fish length exceeds the volume in litres (~1cm of small streamlined fish per 2l is a decent guideline).

Bns are chunky and very messy fish, if given a suitable vegetarian diet they are giant poop machines that should typically reach 10-15cm depending on the species, a 125l with excellent filtration and regular poop vacuuming of the tank floor is needed.

It's funny how people's opinions vary so much.

For what it's worth, my opinion lands somewhere in between Goat's and Tribalbrit's. I don't think that your current stock is ridiculous in a 54l tank, but I would recommend not getting any more fish at all. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear.
