Can’t decide. 29 gallon or 37 gallon.....

Would two angels be ok in 29?

Trying to decide what size just because not much room in our room , we have a 20 currently. But I can hang my tv I guess ....

HELP!

Angelfish need a much larger size aquarium than a 29. The only time where you can house two angels together in a 29 is when you are trying to breed them.

Although I think you could have a pair of angels in a 29g, a bigger aquarium is always better. Why? In addition to more swimming space and an even better aquascape opportunity, a larger volume of water creates a greater stability. This is one reason why I recently put a 40g sump on my 110g stock tank.
Now I have a 37g filled with swordtails. It would be more than large enough for 2 pair of angels, or a pair with other community fish.

I would say if you can afford it, get the 37g. It always better to get a bigger tank. Bigger tank = more room for fish.

I agree with @Crispii, and I disagree with @AbbeysDad. I personally don’t think you could keep a pair of regular Angle fish in a 29g. They need more room.

There are many types of Angle fish, but one of the most popular is the Altum Angle fish. I just chose this one. As you can see, they need a recommended tank size of 48 gallons. https://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/pterophyllum-altum/

Angelfish are really not a good option for you, given what you have posted here. Even in a larger tank (the 37g perhaps) it would have to be a mated bonded pair and they would be spawning regularly. After the first couple of spawns which tend to end in failure (for/by the fish) they would be going strong...what are you gooig to do with the fry? They need separate space to grow properly.

I had a mater pair in my 55 gallon tank, I would not go to a much smaller tank than that. They grew large and need the room

I dunno...I look at my 37g and due to it's height, I feel there's plenty of room for a pair of angels. As for fry grow out, that potential issue exists regardless of any fish selected.
