Hi all

I currently have a 54 liter tank set up with one dwarf gourami and 6 cory cats but a change in circumstances i need to get rid of the tank because we need the space :(

So was wondering what is the smalles tank i could put these fish in where they would live a happy life ?

hi there bojangles, you could go down to around 35litres comfortably for them

if it's any help space wise you really don't need much height so if you had a spare (strong) shelf or something like that you could do a long shallow tank quite comfortably.

Thnx Miss Wiggle :good:

Was hoping for something i could keep on top of a chest of draws and 35 liters sounds great :D

yeah should be fine, as i say the main concern would be the cories having enough floor space so make sure the dimensions are geared more towards floor space than height. but then bigger is always better so if you find something that's still got the floor plan but is a few cm's deeper then that'll give a bit more flexibility.

oh by the way what speces of cories are they? 35l is ok assuming they aren't brochis or one of the larger species!

also remember the smaller the tank the more you have to be on top of the water changes, so expect your maintenance to ramp up a bit.
