Hi all,

Is 13 US Gallons ok to house a couple of Bolivian Rams? The tank is 24" wide, and is planted and if the fish will fit in I'll make some caves for them also.

Would this work ok?

I have to say the minimum tank for a pair of bolivian rams would be a 20g long
(30"Lx12"Wx10"H) If you still want rams, you could get one of the ramirezi color morphs :)

I think german blue rams would work fine in there. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they stay small enough for that tank. I wouldn't put much more (or anything) else in with them though.

I had a pair of german blue rams in a 10g with 5 neon tetras to act as dither fish. Yeah, it worked but when I moved them to my 46g they were like whole new fish.

I read you can have a breeding pair of blue rams in a 10 gallon(by themself), but a 20g ram community wouldnt' be bad. I have all my rams in a nice long 55gallon, that way when one pair breeds, there's lots of room to spare for their territory. :)
