hey guys, im new to this board and this is my first post so hopefully i get a good response. :D

i have a male Betta, who is currently in a 2foot, 50l tank by himself. He is very aggresive and eats
anything put into the tank, i made a mistake and I added in 6 tetras and he ate them all!

anyway, i want more fish in the tank but scared he will attack and kill them, so i was wondering if the spare tank
i have would be sufficiant and not 'cruel'.

Its a 22lt tank, 30x45x15 (hxlxw)

thanks

From what I can gather on this forum (I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination....lol) then a 22L/5G tank is quite sufficient for a single betta on his own. I keep George in a 3-ish gallon and he is perfectly happy in his little 'Kingdom'. I would say to add a hidey-hole and plants though, as they like to rest on things/hide/push their way through things. I'm sure others will agree with your idea :good:

oh that leaves my mind at ease, i didnt want him being in there then finding out its too small.
in the bigger tank he's in now there are alot of plants and things to hide in, so ill try and scape the small one
kind of the same.

and thanks for the help mate, appreciate it :D
