It took about 3.5 hours total to move all the fish to a temporary tank, drain it, dump the gunk, remove the gravel, add the sand, lay it out and plant it, and fill it back up and bring the fish back, but it was for sure worth it. I am a tad disappointed in the quality of some of the plants that I got. The Anubias and Java Ferns were great, but the Pennywort and Vals certainly left something to be desired. Hopefully they will grow in.

Wish I would have taken some more in progress pictures, but oh well!

I ended up taking extra time earlier in the week to wash the sand again, so it wasn't really cloudy at all when we filled it up. To my surprise, everyone even ate last night, so it seems like they weren't shocked too bad. Anyhow, thanks for looking!

WOW, thats stunning :good:

Keith.

That looks so much better!! You`ve spent a fair bit of time on the change but it looks so worth it, very nice :good: :good:

Thank you! It is nice to hear that others like it as well. I will try to get some better pictures at some point as those were just taken with my iPhone and hopefully some progress pics if those tiny little Vals and Pennywort decide they want to grow in.

That's looking really nice. I love seeing before and after photos, especially when it's such a big change for the better! Definitely time well spent.
