Tank New Scape

Hi all

Here is picture of new scape.

Any suggestions welcome and crit my tank please so that I can improve on it.



I was thinking putting some more rocks at the bases of those amazone swords in right back corner?

Completely agree! I think if you moved the big right rock out of the middle it would give the scape more dimension. Also adding some small to medium rocks over to the Amazon would look wonderful. Beautiful, lush tank!

Gr8 tank. But i dont know if someone agrees with me but i guess u must get some more colcorful fish like tetras or neons. BUt if u want to keep it like this its gr8. What siz of tank?

Hi all.

Thank you very much for all the great replies I got from you guys.

To answer some questions.

Tank size = 76cm x 50 x 45 cm ( ABout 110 liters / 28 Gal )

Co2 = Nutrafin DIY Co2 kit and Custom DIY co2 runnig into the filter.

As for more colorfull fish, its a GREAT idea BUT i have 2 6cm African Leaf Fish in there that will gladly eat the neons ore any other small tetra.HEHE

Ok so taking all that you guys have said into account the best thing would be to remove the big rock ( It was bothering me abit as well ) and then get some more smaller rocks on th amazons side.

What about putting the big rock in the front right side?

I agree with the more rocks, I'd also say add more plants in that one area that looks extremly bare...

Hi all.

Well thank you for all the nice words!!

My GF came up with this nice cave plan.I moved the bigger rock ( your guys idea ) to the right side of tank by the swords and barried it abit and have a nice cave going that looks really natural.With the bigger rock I added a smaller on on the left of it and let anubias run all around the rocks.Looks real good without to much rocks.

So I have from the right corner infront of the amazons bigger rock sloping down onto a amsller one and teh base of both rocks covered in anubias.

Have that opening effect in teh middel of the tank now with the sustrate going lower as it goes more to teh back.Get a nice 3d effect.LOL

Awesome tank - Very nice indeed! I think also you should move the rock and make a nice sandy path, also if you wanted to add dimension perhaps you could have one of those posters on the back of the tank with plants and rocks..inexpensive too.

I Just set up a new tank also, it was made custom from my lfs who I have excellent rapport with. Ive a few more plants on order the waiting game is the hardest though. Basically Im breading fancy guppies so as to sell directly to my lfs to hopefully lessen the disease factor. Fingers crossed...The problem first starts with purchasing quality breeding stock. Im in Oz....Any Ideas?
