Alright I have a 55 or 60 US gallon tank with a "roman" theme in it. It has colums and slate caves all custom :D But anyways after all this I need more help with choosing out fish for it. Right now i have
2 male guppies
3 female guppies
5 pearl danios
1 dwarf plecostomus
2 bronze corydoras
16 zebra danio fry! they're so tiny!

I need some more fish to put in there....I was hoping some kind of larger tetra like a size of a quarter that would swim from the middle-bottom section of the tank. I also have a power head in it so there are currents....i was wondering if I should get some ghost shrimp or more algae eaters or corys(they are so...cute) I LOVE THEM! :D Please help!

If you want to add a school, maybe diamond tetras? I really like them, not super colorful, but they shimmer like diamonds and are very light purple, and only get about 2.5" in length. My favorite tetra. I also like the red-eye tetras. About the same size and are mostly a mid-water swimmer. Bleeding hearts are nice too, not sure where they like to swim though....
:fun: :fun: :fun:

Oh, and I would get more corys. They like to be in groups and are so cute!

They aren't tetras, but Harlequin Rasboras are about the size of a quarter and shoal very well in the middle of the tank. Just a thought. There are tons of tetras out there that might fit the bill too.

And I agree you should get at least 4 more corys. You will be very pleased with a school of 6.

I would go for the red eye tetra. They shimmer in the light and the red on the eye is very vibrant. I've had mine for over 2 years and he has grown to about 2 1/2 inches.

Oh Oh and get some more cories! They are just sooo darn cute!

Its true i love the corys! They are my first corys and they are the best! It dosent matter the size of the tetra or fish but i want something that would swim fairly low or middium or whatever but that wont much down on the guppies or smaller fish or eat alot of their fry! :D Im trying to upload a pic of my aquarium...Ill get it soon!

My red eye tetra, swims mostly in the middle or the bottom, he never really goes up to the top unless there is some yummy food up there! :D Can't wait to see the tank!

Hey if you want to see some pics! Check out this forum OTHER FORUM....um and do you think that the corys ,mouths will get destroyed with the substrate and the rocks?

VERY pretty tank, I really like it a lot!! Definitely a few more corys and some of the tetras that have been named would look very nice!

I don't think the corys will have any problems with the gravel. It looks like regular old gravel to me! :dunno: That's what most of us have in our aquariums! ;)

Yea, I heard somewhere that corys will get infected with something once theyrub all over the gravel....anyways If I get more corys would the other bronze corys school and get along or even mate if I bought another kind of cory (panda)? ;)

Digging up old topics :D

This is what is in the tank now:

55 GL TANK (ROMAN RUINS)

2 X Undied Blood Parrots
3 X Pearl Danios
3 X Spotted Corys
2 X Bronze Corys
2 X Albino Corys
1 X Albino Chocolate Plecostomus
2 X Male Red Dwarf Gouramis

the guppies have died and so have the zebra danios as well as one cory and 2 pearl danios  :-( Due to aggresion in the tank and some disease???

Some more pics are on my website. But i am still looking for a medium aggresive to community fish for my tank. I think i have enough bottom feeders... I want to get some more pearls but I dont know if my LFS will sell them anymore.
Here are my plans:

sell the parrots and get a pair of rams(maybe)
maybe get some redeyed tetra or some rainbows(neon, bosimani)
I was alos wondering if some WWCMs will make it in there?

If you get rid of the parrots the white clouds would do fine but I'd skip them otherwise. The same applies to my community fish suggestion :p black phantom tetras - great fish, males display, change color and are such little characters.

How about some more gouramies? A couple of pearl gouramies or moonlight gouramies might do well and the moonlights at the very elast can handle some aggression (though I'd rather they were not kept with the parrots...).

Well, this saturday im gonna go on back to the LFS and sell my parrots(hopfully) that should bring in around 10 bucks...Well, I dont know what i want. I can go with zebra danios and WCMMs...or something else? Will my pearls and groumis get along with these and how about some tetra or rainbowfish.....or perhaps some rams?

Dwarf Neon Rainbows! (after the parrots have gone of course) They shimmer as they move, very nice effect.
