No. They are both labyrinth fish and will fight each other

If the Betta is a male, it is not a community fish and should be on its own. Beyond that, combining anabantids (another name for the labyrinth-organ fish, which includes bettas and gourami, is generally not a good idea, depending upon the species. Males are territorial, and sometimes even females get feisty with other anabantids.
