Hey guys ma nan asked me to take her for sume fish as here tanks getting a little empty now she has a 55gal tank that shes had set up for bout 5yrs now tank has never had any problems jst fish are diein of age now as all are the fish we got after tank had cycled tank inhabitanks are as followed

Fish
1)5"Parrot Fish
1)13" Common pleco
1)4" Bristlenose pleco (to be moved)
1)4" Whiptail pleco (also to be moved)
2)5" irridessant sharks (to go back )
1)4" angle fish

The parrot fish has lived with all sorts of fish with no problems with small fish but realy arggrssive with some fish
been kept with oscars jaguars pecock bass with problems with her attackin them and always attack the big pleco.
What could go with the currant ocupants that are staying

the common plec needs a bigger tank , how is the parrot with the angel? if its ok with the angel id probably go for more angels .

it chases angle all the time and have since they where tiny as both wer only about 1" high when i got them (on the same day)

theres plenty of cichlids that could work well in a 55g , but the parrot being so aggro could very much limit your choices.

she is fine with some but kicks s**t of of others for instance she bought 1 oscar and she kicked its #16#####

why not just get rid of the parrot and get more angels? they wont be quite as aggressive and they're drop dead beautiful!

if shes dead set on keeping the parrot it could just be a case of trying lots of different ones to see which works , theres loads of cichlids that will be good in a 55g .

things like

sajica
blue acara
firemouth
thorycthis elliotti ( spelt wrong i think lol)

To go with a potentially grumpy parrot in a tank that size you'd need a sturdy and yet not too big fish. A convict and a firemouth might work well and are, obviously, quite easily available.

If she rehomed the parrot, which whenver I have seen them are vicious little s£ds, and the plec as it will get too big, that leaves plenty of space for other fish.

Angels or Festivums would be a good choice, plus some schooling fish for the upper levels.

She could keep the smaller Plecs for the bottom, or get some Corys.
