Hey guys i posed a few days ago about tank mates for my fluval 125 and was talking to guy in the fish shop i goto said a good stock for my tank would be

KEYHOLE CICHLIDS X2/4

How do you guys think it will work as have owned all the fish they suggested in the past the said it will work exelent as a community tank

rather than adding 6 harlequins id rather up the shoal of cardinals myself . cant advise re the betta or gobys as i know next to nothing about these fish . keyholes id say 2 rather than 4 in a 125 but that would rule shrimp out as cichlids love shrimp!

i have had shrimps with keyholes b4 and never bothered with them

if you feel its low risk then thats up to you , but ive not met a cichlid yet that wont eat shrimp.

it just depend on the fish as my friend has an oscar with neons an it now 12" long and its been in with then since he got it at about 1.5"

I had a keyhole that went after my amano shrimp. He was also a bit more rambuncious then people usually describe them.
