As I promised guys and gals here is my tank all up and running, with a filter!
My brother built it last year sometime, but I never got round to setting it all up, but now it's all set up with fish!

Tell me what you think! ;)

Lovely tank, few problems I have though.

How big is it? Orandas need ideally, atleast 75L per a fish.
That rock could easily damage their fins, or worse, themselves if they get stuck.
Mixing orandas and commons can often lead to nippy results.

I'm not sure of the actual dimensions or how much water it holds, I know it's quite alot though, there is a back section to the tank which holds more water aswell. As for the rock it is all pretty smooth, but to the eye does appear to be rough, I was skeptical at first as I thought it would be when handling it, but turned out to be rather smooth.

As for the mixing of the Orandas and Commons, i've had no problems with nipping, guess I am very lucky!
This tank is just to introduce me to keeping fish, once these fish have grown and are unsuitable for the tank, I have arranged for them to be transfered to a different tank which is much larger.

As this is an introduction tank, I plan on keeping Marine fish next go round, for example: two clown fish and alot of live rock and corals!

Pretty tank. :)

I do have a concern though...I hope I'm wrong!

Is it just camera anomolies, or do I see ich spots? I'd keep an eye on that.

It's very striking!

How did you cycle it?

It's fine for the goldies at the size they are now but you need to be very aware of how fast they can grow. They could quite happily quadruple in size within a year and the yellow common goldfish will need to go into a pond, as he could easily hit 12" or more and will need a LOT of space. The fancies will need a 50 gallon tank as a minimum when they are all full grown.

While the goldies are in there they'd really appreciate some plants to hide in a nibble.
