Tank Lid

Hi all im trying to think of a way to make a new lid for my hexagonal tank.
my thinking it get a sheet of perspex n cut it then drill some holes ane put led's or lamps throught and back it in mirror any comments welcome

I made a lid for a hex tank several years ago out of plexiglass, it worked out fine. The only advice I will offer is take your time with it. Getting the angles just right is very difficult.

Why back it with mirror? I would use AC Ryans one-way acrylic, think one way glass like that which is used by the police for observation rooms.
