Hi folks,
I was setting up a tank the other night and when I filled it with water, I noticed that it's leaning forward slightly. The water level at the front of the tank is between 2-3mm higher than the back.  I there a tolerance, or should the water be dead level. I have an aquarium base mat between the tank and the stand, and the tank itself (marina style 35) sits in a plastic frame.

My 4ft is not level, and it quite a bit more than 2-3mm, no probs only that when i fill it so you cant see waterline, it is deeper one end than the other

My six footer is about 5mm higher at one end and the same distance front to back. I used to worry about it but it's been there nearly two years and nothing much has changed. My stand is on carpet on a concrete floor, I'd worry a lot more if it was on a wooden floor.

Thanks for the replies folks.  The one thing I failed to check initially was, how level is the floor? It's not, and my flat is only a year old.  Though, I cut a strip of off cut carpet, and ran it under the front of the unit and that has helped level it off.

I'd love to get mine absolutely level but with the empty tank and stand weighing in at about 140kg it would have to be totally empty before I attempted it; with another 600kg of water in the tank...well, it'll just have to stay a bit skewed.
