Fish Fanatic
Well first off i will say sorry for the long post but thought i would mention every thing i could think off.
I did post this in the Emergancy section but got no replys and been over 24 hours so sorry for repost.
I have guppies neons mollys a plec a algae eater and a few loaches.
It all started when i realised that the guppies were boncing off the sand and the rocks i have in the tank, So i knew somthing was wrong. One off the guppies also started to lose the colour in its tail and then get it back then lose it again. I have another guppie that kinds off arks it tail to one side hard to exsplain but seems like it some kinda fit or something. But they seem fine other wise swimming around the tank eating playing etc
I have 3 mollys and they all look rather unhappy spending most off there time at the top off the tank only going really moving when there is food in the tank. One also got red marks all around her gill <This was nothing to do with ammonia though stats to follow shortly> This have now cleared up. She also have like a white furry thing on one side off her body and also have been seen boucing off the sand and shaking in the tank from side to side.
The Algae eaters one have like a orange line going down it's back the other have what look like a bruise on it head.
all the loaches seem fine as does the plec and neons. But 70% off the fish above seem to be pooing clear poop not all the time though just some times.
I have already lost 2 guppies and a neon so what ever this is. PLEASE HELP !
Last thing i went to my LFS and said all this and was giving PROTOZIN i am currently treating with that i now on day 2 but nothing really seem better to me just the guppies more active now. I was told it Oodinium (Velvet)
MY tank stats are 4Ft tank 170l
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 20ppm
PH 8.0
Temp 27 Deg
Also like to add to this today 15/06/10 i have lost another molly and i have another one that is trying so hard to swim down from the top off the tank but can only move forward and backwards.
