I should be getting that 100 gallon very soon, so I've been thinking of what I should do with my 29 gallon. Here's a few ideas I had.

Contrast tank:
Black gravel and black backdrop, white/albino fish, white plants

Contrast tank:
Would look very nice :good:

Brackish:
reduces your stocking drastically

Goldfish!:
reduces stocking drastically

Cichlids:
Dwarf cichlid ares good in almost all community settings

Invertibrates:
Will be eaten/bothered by the majority of larger tank mates

Neon tetra:
Could have a very large school that looks great :good:

Plants:
Just plants.

Contrast tank:
Black gravel and black backdrop, albino cories, and some other albinos/white fish, just make sure to not buy dyed fish though.

Cichlids:
I'm not sure but in a 40 i would try a piar of kribs, or convicts(correct me me if im wrong onthe convicts though) you'll get lotta fry though..

Invertibrates:
Ghost shrimp tank lol, add tons of them, would look great, and htey arent that pricey either.

Neon tetra:
As siand above a large school would be aweesome

Plants:
Just plants+shrimp combo haha

Betta:
Could try a female betta sorrority that would look great in a 40 gallon.

Do you mean the other inverts would eat them? Because it would be invert only.

I would never buy a dyed fish. Anyway, it would throw my idea off. No color, at all. Just black and white.

I am in no way experianced enough nor have the money for a marine tank at this time.

hmm then this sounds nice to me..

Underwater city:
Just those decorations shaped like famous buildings, would be a community tank.

just a doubt what material do u buy those in.. the LFS here sells ceramic types.. since i have no knowledge i want to know if i can put in any ceramic toy cos i find some cheaper version of cermaic toys in local fancy shops..

Asian mountain stream tank;
Massive amount of water movement and areation, at room temperature or a little colder, Butterfly Hillstream Loaches, White Cloud Mountain Minnows, a weather loach or 2.
Watching hillstream loaches in the correct conditions is stunning.
I've been plotting to do the same for some time but with a well sheltered area to house a few colisa, roll on christmas dammit.
Cons;
Not a great deal of colour or anything particularly showy for this bio-tope. At least not that i've found so far.

Hmm...

I like color, so not sure about this.
