This guy is trying to sell me this 200 gallon oak enclosed tank. Its beautiful. The tank has AF filter, AF Heaters, AF chemical filters. That is all Fluval right? Alll of that needs to be replaced. The tank is not nor can it be a reef or live rock tank. It can only be a lava rock and fish tank. The tank needs some work, but It may be worth it, if I could figure out what worth it is? Everything is canister, its a bottom filtration and is about 10 years old. Has anyone ever had a tank like this. I have detailed pictures of the tank and the hardware. I really need some help. Im a stand up guy on other forums and hope to make some friends here, I just hate showing up with an odd problem like this. my email address is solojrbb@bellsouth.net I can send you the pictures. Remember it is not nor willl ever be a reef or live rock tank just fish and lava rock. Oh yeah can lava rock go bad? The rock was red now since they had it out of order so long the lava rock has turned grey like regular old rock. The tank is so pretty and would be a good project if the $$$$$$$ isnt too much. I could spring 500 or 600 fixing it as is, or to turn it into a wetdry set up will cost more because modifications will have to be made to the tank, but if the guy kep healthy fish with that system why cant I do it now? If I can find fluval 94, 93, 95 heater, chemical, and filter. I think thats the way it is. ALso how do you clean a canister filter? I have tons of emails from the guy with the pictures so please someone help me. Thanks Ronnie solojrbb@bellsouth.net

Before answering any more questions, im interested to know why its not ok for Reef and canonly support fish with lava?

Has the tank ever had copper in it or something?

Yes its had some copper in it at one time or another I think the piping was copper once. Was told hearty fish would thrive in it just no inverterbrates and reef.
