Hi everyone I'm in need of a tank hoover / vacuum and I've never seen one that isn't too gimicky... I'm after the kind of thing that can suck up waste organics, collect them in a bag or container of some sort, and then allow the water to flow back into the tank.

I'm currently just syphoning into a bucket but in my 30 litre tank its too quick and I don't manage to get everything I want out and then in my 300 litre tank my Cichlids are growing and becoming very messy! In the 300 litre tank I use a pump and hose for efficient water changes but by the time I've gone all around the tank and into every nook and cranny in the rocks I've usually filled 3 40 litre buckets which defeats the point of the pumps and hoses.

Does anyone use any good bits of kit for this or has anyone made anything good DIY for this purpose?
