Tank Heating

Had the tank set up for 24hrs now and I don't think the heater has turned off once. Do tanks usually take a bit longer to heat and get to temp then easier to maintain the temp.... Or could it be this real cold snap we're having? Its a 25w heater and its in a 26 ltr tanks. So it should be fine as 25w heaters are good for 30ltrs.

Yes, any significant change takes a long time with a heater like that but then it will be able to maintain it just fine --wd--

The size of your heater is just fine.

I just recently set up a new tank about a week ago. The starting temp was around 65F, I plugged the heater in which ran the rest of the day, the entire night and some of the following day where it raised the tempt o 78F. The heater will turn on and off when needed and my temp is holding around 77-78F
