Tank For Dempesy

How big of a tank does a jck Dempsey need with and without tankmates. What tankmates would be good.

It all depends on what size he is when you get him, and if he's agressive. Personally I wouldn't put anything with them. But they say atleast 50 gallons. I have a 55 that mine is going into shortly as soon as the residents in that tank get their outdoor pond. But he's in a 35 right now. But not forever. So get atleast a 50. 55 being ideal.

At least a 55 gallon for one if you want another you should have at least a 100 gallon.

A 55 gallon tank is what they require. I have two and they each have a 55 gallon tank of thier own. THey are lucky I fell in love with them because I cant hardly stand to see 2 of my 55 gallon tanks with only one fish each in them. But I wanted the Jacks so they come first...
