Tank Filter Help

Hi, new to the forums

Recentely set up my old fish tank (Waterhome 5) and was browsing the internet for filter cartridges for it, however they seem hard to find? Is my tank out of date or something?

Will any filters work as long as they fit?

is the filter integrated into the tank in some way or is it removeable?

If you can simply take it out, ANY filter rated for your size tank will be fine.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that filter. It probably is out of date, but as long as the cartridge fits in properly, it should be fine. I'd be looking for a new filter as soon as possible though. I have alot of old equipment that I keep for spares but sometimes my old equipment quits working. A filter is not something you can do without for a few days until you can get a new one, so have one on standby. And welcome to the forum!

It's held in place by a plastic ledge but it is removable yes, i'll probably investigate getting a completely new filter all together then rather than trying to find the pads for it!

If you are at all handy around the house, you could probably make pads for the filter, but, as I said, I'd still get a new filter, just incase.
