I recently got a 6ft x 2ft x 2ft fish tank and stand for £50

after transporting it home it got damaged. the damage is on the bottom.
now it looks like i have two 1cm thick glass panels making up the bottom of the tank ( one on top of another ) . When we put the tank down for 2 mins as it was heavy, there was a stone on the floor that has make the glass on the bottom crack. Now this hasn't cracked all the way through to the top panel and i have added water and tilted the tank so the water runs to where the damage.
Good news is, no water is leaking!!
Now this tank can hold up to 680lts of water and i'm abit scared in filling it up with this crack on the bottom.

So my question is

Can i get abit of perspex to cut to size of the inside of the tank, lay it in the bottom of the tank and then seal it with aquatic sealant? to help give that strength back?

That tank holds about 517 kilos of water weight. All off which will be pressing on that crack. I would consider the tank a loss. I do not recommend the risk.

not never if i put 20mm thick perspex or glass inside on the floor of the tank?

Personally I say no. Even with the new floor there is still a weak spot under it. With a tank that large (I have a 210 gallon one) there is always a time you will accidentally bump it and that jarring alone might be enough to crack it more.

It's my opinion of course but I feel being cautious is the way to go.

First of all...what a bargain!
Secondly...sorry for your loss.
That is one hell of a lot of water pressing down on the crack.
I think if the crack was sealed and the bottom then heavily supported and then like you say, the perspex bottom sealed onto the bottom of the tank and then sealed around it, you might get away with it. Plus the corners strengthened so they don't spread but is it worth the risk of going through all the process of setting it up and stocking it and then it explodes?!!
I'd try and sell it and see what you get and then go for a new tank...sorry matey!
