I have had my little 4 G tank up for 3-4 days now... Its been getting along fine. It heated and filtered but when i woke up today the tank water was cloudy... I washed the sand out and it also came from another tank so this shouldnt be coursing it. i have done 50% water changed and still nothing happened... though stilll waiting for it to clear.... it has a tint of green in the water due to my wilko natural ferns... could these be cousing the cloudyness ?

I also have 1 kuli loach in there, that seems to be injoying not being seen and acting himself no problems

Are they any fish in the tank. if so how many and which type.
What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Only 1 Kuli loach...

Havent done water test so wouldnt know.... Could try now if you want ...

Did you use a mature filter sponge for the tank.
Need to look at water stats to see if its a bacteria bloom.
What filter are you using.
Why is the kuli loach just in the tank. Is she ill.

I used some media from a tank full of fish that has been going for ages...
I have no test kits at this house to test water... Will test it later
Im using a Elite Mini filter
The kuli loach is in there to keep Bacteria going, and a friends for my betta that will be going in there next week. It was from boyfriends tank and he only have 1 left

Ok.
We really need to look at your water stats to give the right answer.
Any plants rotting away as rotting plants can cause cloudy tanks.

Only way I could get sats is tomorrow...

The only plants i have is 1 silk plant and 3 natural fern

I would get your water tested and then we can go from there.

after doing that water change the tank has seemed to go back to normal... Only a little bit cloudy but you can see through it :)

Thank you for the help though

Ok. I would still get your water checked to just find out your water stats.
Good Luck.

i will be getting it tested when i get some money to get a test kit... Next week hopefuly :)
