I have a 48 gal tank. It has 2 filter systems

1 Bio wheel
1 canister
in my tank I have approx. 16 fish
4 red mollies
4 black tail tetras
2 blue gruomies
2 fire groumies
3 cory catfish
1 pleco catfish
I was wondering how is the best way to clean my tank I have artificial plants in it right now and it is in need of cleaning
I will be changing over to live plants in the near future but for now I just need info for the best cleaning method of my tank

Turn your filters and everything else in the tank off. get a bucket and fill it up with some water from your tank. then as quickely as you can get all of your fish into the bucket and take the rest of the water out pour it away then take your stones out of the tank. clean the stones, wipe the glass, put the stones back in the tank. then take another bucket, depending on the temperature of your tank, mine is tropical so its probably best to do what i do with mine, add half a bucket of warm water and half cold, pour it into the tank and fill to the top. then you put your fish back in. they will be fine in the water from the tank for about half an hour so try not to worry too much about them. trust me ive had my tank for ages. when you take everything out the tank clean the artificial plants as well....... does that help let me know x x x good luck x x x
