Tank Blues

Im having a tank crisis! first, our angels nipped at a platy so much hat it got an infectionand died! so we got rid of the angels. THEN another platy died. then our 2 guppies died. then the last guppie got sucked up into the filter! now our water is off the charts and ii don't know how my last 2 platys are surviving . we have taken everything out and done a whole tank cleanuot. we have taken all gravel out, plants, and ornaments out and cleaned. we have put in ph tablets and nitrite liquid and so far its working a little. once they are done we are starting over with guppies and the 2 remaining platies. i am ready for all the fry, don't worry .

i would have kept the angels.personally i think smaller fish are harder to take of.

If you're starting out and re cycling a tank, don't use guppies. They are just gutless. They were inbred like crazy to grow on fancy strains and then mass produced meaning that weak, inferior, poorly fed and immature fish are used as breeding stock. If you really want guppies wait until the tank is at least three or four months along. Cycle with platies.
