Just received my aquacube tank from PFK today after a long wait from I subscribed, nothing broken thankfully, was worried seeing I live in Belfast and it would have been flown over. Im very undecided as to what to house in it! The planted tank they done with it in the november issue looks great but as im setting up a 300l marine tank at the end of january I dont want to go to alot of expense with heaters and co2 systems. Anyone got any suggestions.
The tank size is a 12" cube with volume of 25l, comes with filter and light.

why not a betta and maybe some shrimps? or something like that.

1 more thing ow much is do you have ti pay monthly for pfk?Is it free to join?

Its £3.40 each issue to buy in shop, but when u subscribe for 6months or 1 year it costs the same as buying that amount of issues but with the added benefit of something for free. When i subscribed in october it was a free tank but had to close after 4 days as was about 4 months worth of subscriptions in that time. Have some good offers just need to buy the magazine to find out. Its called 'Practical Fishkeeping' (if you didnt know)

Could you please send me a link on where i could subscribe to this website? Thanks.

cool,I might see if i can.So it is £3.40 odd each month and each month you get a gift?thats a bargain lol.

Think they would be out of business rite and quick, sure it cost them a fortune with the aquacube, between the tank itself and all the shipping charges.

I'm still waiting on mine  . Anyway, i would go for a low tech planted tank, with inverts :good: . Use suitable garden potting soil for substrate (soak it in water for an hour or so first and remove anything that floats) and only use low light plants like Marsilea hirsuta, Cryptocoryne wendtii , java fern and hygrpphila polysperma (to name a few from tropica). You can DIY co2 very cheap too, like here, but use a preoper diffuser or co2 ladder(these things are very cheap at around £3), but if you stick to easy plants, its not necessary for good results.
Take your pick of shrimp and snails from snailshop.co.uk and your lfs, though no snails if your pH is acidic.
