Here is the run down. Fiskis a Swordtail female started birthing about 1 hour ago. She had two fry at the time I started this. The last batch was born on 3 Jan 05, at least 25 fry. I do not think it was much more than this since I was keeping a close eye on her and got her in the trap right away. She is a Marigold at 6cm. What is your guess as to the final tally. The winner can come to northern Sweden and claim the fry of their choice.LOL

P.S. Her female tank mate had over 60 fry with more than 25 under developed eggs on 19 Jan.(but Doris is a lot thicker and at least 1cm longer)

Well, so far we are up to five but one looks like it may not make it, the casing has not opened yet, but it can take a while. Fiskis has been known to take more then eight hours to get the job done so there is still time to make a guess.

Count is 11 plus the unopened casing, there is movement in the casing so hope remains.

Up to 20 fry and one casing that time is running out on , there are also three more eggs that will not hatch

It is in the bottom of the trap and I would have to remove Fiskis (6YO daughter named her) to get at it. but we are up to 24 living fry and there are still more to come, but when she looks done I my try. I have a 10ml syringe and a very small sewing needle may help! The other female droped 60-70 fry plus more than 25 unopened eggs.

Sorry thrdwatchfan you are out, we have 29 living and a few to go. I am guessing 6-10 more(still four unopened but two have a very, very small chance two are no chance) no mutants yet.
